Welcome to The Fontmell

The Fontmell re-opened in 2010 after a sympathetic renovation. It has six beautiful bedrooms, the sort of bar you will never want to leave and a restaurant dining room with the feel of a country house library.

The pub, formerly The Crown, has been extended over the Collyer’s Brook stream, which flows between the bar and the dining room. When the windows are open the babbling brook creates a serene environment in which to eat and relax.

The Fontmell is the perfect place to stay: for a weekend away in North Dorset or to accommodate friends who are visiting the area. The six luxurious, en-suite bedrooms are named after the word for butterfly in various languages.

Tom Shaw, Chef Patron, looks forward to welcoming you soon for a drink, to stay the night, or to sample our stunning food.
